alarm equipment (close between ALMOUT and
ALMCOM for alarm; open if no alarm).

Note—The maximum current and voltage for
ALMOUT/ALMCOM is restricted to 0.5 A 30 VDC
or 0.15 A 125 VAC (resistive load).
1.3 Provisioning a Management
IP Port (EXP212, EXP224)
This section describes how to use CLI commands
and Web Configuration Tool to provision an IP
port for the DSLAM.
Before changing the system IP address, you can
connect to the DSLAM via console port and type
in the following CLI command to check current
setting:
enable
show management all /*Display all system
management port IP setting*/
To provision an IP port:
IN CLI
enable
configure
management gbe <ipv4 address> [netmask
<netmask>] /*Set in-band management port IP
setting*/
management gbe vlan <vlan id> /*Restrict
incoming VLAN tag of in-band management; this
setting is optional not mandatory*/
route default <ipv4 address> /*Set IP address of
the default gateway*/
runningcfg write partition <number> /*Save
new settings to memory (partition)*/
IN WEB GUI
a. On the menu tree, click on System --->
Board Setup. The Board Setup page is
displayed.
b. Type in new IP setting in the GBE (In Band)
section for in-band IP provisioning.
c. Click on Modify button to submit the
modification.
To save new setting to flash memory:
On the menu tree, click on Maintenance --->
Database. The Database Configuration page is
displayed. Click on the DB Config drop-down list
and select Save Running Config to Flash. Select
write flash at Partition 1 or Partition 2. Then click
on Write_Running button. Wait for memory write
success message.
